Tom Harper

Tom Harper is the pen name of German-born English author Edwin Thomas, who writes historical fiction and thriller novels. He writes the Martin Jerrold and Demetrios Askiates series, along wit several standalone novels. Harper was born in Frankfurt and grew up in Belgium and Connecticut. He went on to study history at Lincoln College Oxford. After working for a few years, he decided to enter the CWA Debut Dagger contest, where he got runner-up. Tom Harper became a published novelist with the novel The Blighted Cliffs, which was published in 2003 under the name Edwin Thomas. He debuted his Tom Harper pen name in 2004 with the novel The Mosaic of Shadows.
