Karen Kijewski

Karen Kijewski is an American author of mystery novels. She is the author of the Kat Colorado series. Karen earned her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley (which is also where her father, geography professor Clarance Glacken taught). Before becoming a novelist, Karen taught high school English in Massachusetts before switching careers. She worked as a bartender while she was just starting out as a writer. Karen lives in Sacramento, California and is married with two daughters. Karen Kijewski became a published author in 1989 with the novel Katwalk. Her most recent novel was Stray Kat Waltz, which was published in 1998.
