Fannie Flagg

Fannie Flagg is the pen name of American author Patricia Neal, who is best known for her novel Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Shop Cafe. The novel was adapted in 1991 to a film with the shortened title of simply Fried Green Tomatoes. She also wrote the screenplay for the adaptation and was nominated for an Oscar. Fannie Flagg became a published author in 1981 with the novel Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man, also published as Coming Attractions.
